Supply Chain Evolution: Shaping the Future

The event was a great collaboration of all the supply chain acronym organizations for the Supply Chain Evolution event at Ohio Dominican. We worked with the Columbus Region Logistics Council for along with the Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM), Columbus Logistics Breakfast Club (CLBC) and the Warehouse Education Resource Council (WERC). 160+ people attended and heard a lot of great information. Jeremy Banta kicked things off leading a panel discussion with Ted Geer of One Columbus, Kevin Chambers of JobsOhio, Maria Schapter of MORPC and Windy Murphy of Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio. Breakout sessions included:

 Jeremy D. Banta & Steve DeNunzio will talk about how the Ohio Supply Chain Academic Network can help your employees stay abreast of the latest technologies and emerging logistics trends.

 Dave DuBose & Mac McVey on building more resillient supply chains through automation and a skilled workforce

Nikki Driskill, Deborah "Debbie" Ryan and Sara Schepman share their journey into their roles and how they are mentoring other women in the industry to leadership

 Andrew Bremer & Abbi Failla will talk about the first deployment of platooning in the US and other trucking automation initiatives planned for Route 70 between Columbus and Indianapolis.

 Sheila Davis and Daniel Dragin will tell you how you can get up to $2000 from Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) to help you be more sustainable and profitable.

 Terry Esper, Ph.D. will share how companies have leveraged their supply chain processes and infrastructures to embrace and enhance Diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

 Michael Mikitka, CAE will explain how to use practical tools to assess and improve the performance of your DC operations.

 A-Jay Orr, PMP will demystify the concepts around cybersecurity so that you're ready for a world of robotics, AI and automation.

The day was capped off by a summation of the learnings from Ken Ackerman
